Pork leg (pata ng baboy)
Soy sauce - 1 cup
Vinegar - 1 cup
Garlic
Brown Sugar - 1 cup
Dried Banana Blossom (pinatuyong uso ng saging) "Put it into water for 15-30 minutes before cooking"
Laurel leaves
Pepper Corn (Pamintang buo)
Salt to taste
Optional Ingredients:
Star anis - 4 pcs. add or replace laurel leaves
lily flower -1 cup
add or replace Dried banana blossoms
7-Up Soda
add or replace Brown Sugar
Procedure:
► Roast the unseasoned
"Pata" inside an oven to get rid of its yucky oil; this will lessen the cholesterol content of the "Pata"
► When the pork leg is roasted boil water on another pan
► When the water is boiling put the pepper corn
- Laurel leaves
- Put soy sauce at once
- Put the crush garlic, make sure the water is boiling when you put the "Pata"
► Drop the "Pata" or the chopped pork leg
► Seamer for 1 hour or until the meat is already tender
- but if you have a pressure cooker it will only take about 30 minutes
► When the pork is already tender put the vinegar and let it seamer for 10 minutes
► Put the Dried Banana Blossom
► add the Brown sugar
► Salt to taste and seamer for 2 minutes
► Ready to serve.
